Automated Job Posting to Job Boards

Exelare provides an automated process for distributing jobs to supported job boards through an XML feed.

Depending on the job boards configured for your company, eligible jobs can be distributed to sites such as:

  • Indeed
  • SimplyHired
  • Glassdoor
  • ZipRecruiter
  • PostJobFree
  • Talent.com
  • Other supported job boards

Once automated job posting is enabled for a company, eligible jobs are automatically included in the Exelare XML feed. The feed is generated and distributed every night, so eligible jobs will generally appear on the configured job boards the following day.

Job Posting Requirements

For a job to be included in the XML feed, it must meet all three of the following criteria:

  1. The job must be Open
    Only jobs in the Open view are eligible for publication.
  2. “Send In Reqlist” must be checked
    The job must have the Send In Reqlist option selected.
  3. “Private” must not be checked
    Private jobs are excluded from the XML feed and will not be published.

Important: All three conditions must be met for a job to be included in the feed.

How the Automated Process Works

The automated process runs every night:

  1. Exelare identifies jobs that meet the posting requirements.
  2. Eligible jobs are added to the XML feed.
  3. The XML feed is distributed to the configured job boards.
  4. Each job board processes the feed according to its own requirements and schedule.
  5. Jobs will generally become visible on the job boards the following day.

Note: The exact time it takes for a job to appear may vary by job board. Exelare sends the feed nightly, but each job board controls when it processes and publishes the jobs.

Indeed Posting

Indeed may allow organic job postings, but eligibility and availability are determined entirely by Indeed and may change over time. Exelare cannot guarantee that a job will be accepted for organic visibility on Indeed.

If you have an Indeed subscription, contact your Indeed representative and let them know that your jobs are provided through an XML feed from cBizSoft/Exelare.

Indeed can then configure your account to retrieve eligible jobs from the feed provided by cBizSoft.

Job Information Sent to Job Boards

Exelare sends the following information for each eligible job:

Exelare Field Description
ReqID The requisition ID for the job
JobTitle The job title
Location The job location. Enter the location in the format City, State (for example, Dallas, TX).
Salary The salary information entered for the job
Description The job description
TotalExp The total experience required for the job
JobType The type of employment/job

Important: Job Description

The Job Description is sent to the job boards and may be publicly displayed.

Make sure the job description does not contain confidential, proprietary, client-sensitive, or other information that should not be publicly disclosed.

Manual Job Posting

In addition to automated XML-feed posting, Exelare allows you to manually post jobs to certain paid job boards, including:

  • Dice
  • Monster
  • CareerBuilder

Availability and posting requirements may vary depending on your account or subscription with each job board.

Sharing Jobs on Social Media

Exelare also allows you to share jobs directly to social media platforms, including:

  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
